Marsala

Marsala was founded by the Carthaginians in the 4th Century a.Ch.n. and later in 1860 became famous for the landing of Garibaldi’s Thousand that led to the unification of Italy.

This ancient seaport is today known as “Città del vino” (Wine City), thus it is a must-see for all GOURMET lovers visiting Sicily.

After a tour in the wonderful historic center and the famous fish market, the tour continues with a wine and local food tasting in one of Marsala’s historic wineries.

Afterwards, our guests visit the saltworks, where a worldwide appreciated first-class sea salt is produced.

Upon request of our guests, it is possible to arrange a boat tour in the Stagnone Lagoon and a visit at the Isle of Motya including its Phoenician ruins and the Isle Isola Grande. On board our guests will be welcomed by a flute of Sicilian white sparkling wine.
