At a distance of only 5 kilometers from Palermo we’ll find the city of Monreale. This ancient Norman city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and forms with Palermo and Cefalù the Arab-Norman Itinerary.
The experience in Monreale includes a workshop regarding local mosaic and a ceramics course. Both are held by high-level mosaicists and ceramists. Our guests will take an active part in the creation of the artifacts and in the end they are free to keep them as a souvenir.
Tour at the historic center, the majestic cathedral and the old fortified walls. Obviously our GOURMET side is not neglected.
The day come to an end with a tasting of the typical Monreale bread, which according to tradition is baked in a wood-fired oven, and the famous “biscotti a S” (S-shaped cookies).
